AERONAUTICAL AND AEROSPACE INDUSTRY NORMS : GRANDO’S GROWING PRODUCT RANGE
GRANDO proposes a large range of accredited products for the aeronautic and aerospace sector. In order to improve passenger safety, the major manufacturers in these two closely related areas (Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Lockheed, Dassault Aviation, etc.) impose technical specifications on their suppliers and sub-contractors with well-defined standards. Among these technical constraints, compliance with increasingly stringent fire/smoke standards has become a key issue, in particular for passenger safety.
Among the numerous areas in which GRANDO operates, the development of the aeronautical and aerospace sectors, which have seen strong growth in recent years, has become an important objective for the company.
With more than 20 years of experience in the development of standardised products for the rail, construction and automotive sectors, our specialist materials science engineers also develop, in cooperation with several R&D laboratories and other industrial partners, new low-smoke toxicity self-extinguishing materials (halogen-free) for the aeronautical and aerospace sectors, and more specifically, for the passenger and freight air transport industry.
All our accredited products for the aeronautic and aerospace sector comply with at least one of the following international fire/smoke norms:
- FAR – CFR/CS 25.853
- FAR 25.833/FAR 25.856
- JAR – 25.853
- CAA 8/2
- Airbus ABD0031/ Airbus ABS5708
- EASA CS25.853
- BMS 1-68 & DMS-1980
- Bombardier SMP-800C
- ASTM C1166, E162, E662
- Lockheed MD987…..
These materials can also be developed specifically according to customers’ technical and normative criteria.
